Jet Life Tour:The 1st Quarter Update

Whats good fam!!!! Right now all my days and nights are one big blur. This tour is definitely an awesome experience.

South By South Jets: The Planes Invade SXSW

This weekend my Jet Life Recordings family took SXSW by storm with a weekend full of great performances from almost the whole family!!! We arrived in town Thursday and set out to see what was poppin’ in Austin. After a long delay in getting our lodging, we hit the streets, hitting up The Belmont to see our brother Smoke DZA perform. Trees were plentiful in the green room and I made sure I got my fill of the potent smoke (LMAO). Smoke was killing shit when the sound abruptly stopped. Apparently, the venue management shut the event down to prepare for another event. Smoke tells the crowd “I guess thats my time, all I know is BET wouldn’t have let this happen like this, blame the promoter, #JetLife.” and we leave to get ready for our set later that night.

What Is Hip Hop???

Time and time again I hear rappers say “fuck Hip Hop” as if they’re apart of some other lifestyle or something. It used to really piss me off, but now I’m over it. For rappers to say fuck Hip Hop is like me walking to my grandmother’s or father’s grave and pissing on it, as if they’re doing what they do in spite of instead of BECAUSE OF this lifestyle.

Da U Boys:Tha Shutdown

Rap trio Da U Boys have delivered what could very well be the soundtrack to the street life in New Orleans, Louisiana and ghettos and hoods across the nation with Tha Shutdown, released on their own Rue Rois Music. Never ones to sugarcoat anything, they keep it raw to make sure you fully understand where the are coming from.
